There used to be a show on TV, Hee Haw, that had a regular song they played with lyrics that went similar to the following:
Gloom, despair, and agony on me,
Deep dark depression and excessive misery, If it weren’t for bad luck, I’d have no luck at all, Gloom despair and agony on me.
I think that many people in the United States and indeed, worldwide can relate to this song. I mean just look at the headlines, another little girl is kidnapped, raped and murdered, crooked business people have bilked hundreds of thousands of investors out of their entire life savings, more bombings in the Middle East, terrorists make new threats, the ACLU wants to remove God from anything and everything. Has anyone out there heard any good news lately?

We will not hear good news on the radio, see it on TV, or read it in the newspaper, but we can find it in the Bible. Jesus came to deliver the good news that there is hope in a lost world. There is a way out of gloom, despair and agony and it is through the cross of Jesus. Satan and all his minions will be removed from our presence for eternity.
There will be no more bad news. I believe that the end of the wickedness we are seeing in the world is near. The Bible clearly predicts that the world will continue to become more and more wicked right up until Jesus comes for His children. Time is running out for those who have delayed making a decision for Christ. As Christians we should all renew our efforts to spread the good news of Jesus Christ.
Non-Christians should not delay. You should not want to miss an eternity devoid of bad news and evil. If Jesus came today, would He take you out of this world with the rapture and spare you the great tribulation? Or would you be left behind?

Matt.24:44
Therefore you also be ready,
for the Son of Man is coming at an
hour you do not expect.
