I spent the weekend trying to recover from an illness. Generally I do not watch much TV, but this weekend that is about all I did. What a mess the world is in. A terrorist bomb in Bali killed over 200 people.
A madman in the Washington DC/Maryland area has shot ten innocent people including a woman and child. This cowardly sniper has succeeded in killing eight of them. I watched a special on how lax the Russians are in protecting weapons grade nuclear materials. An official with the US customs office showed a stainless steel round container about the size of a softball and he solemnly declared that it could contain enough nuclear material to make a nuclear bomb. Then the camera showed thousands of containers coming into New York’s harbor. They are fearful that terrorists will set off a nuclear explosion there from such a container. With millions of cargo containers coming in yearly, they only have enough manpower to check about 2% of them. As usual the Mideast is in chaos with more people being killed. I wonder how this must grieve our Lord. Seeing the murder, depravity, and lust for just about everything that is wrong and anti-Christ. This world has not changed much. The words below were written in ancient times, but they could have been written today. The Bible speaks of the Lord being patient and long-suffering. This would have to be a prime example, as I am positive that he would like to step in and exact His fierce wrath on satan and his host of demonic followers. His patience will one day run out and then He will put an end to this madness. I for one will be happy to see that day…

_____________
Psalm 2:1
Why do the nations rage
And the people plot a vain
thing?
