Recently the gleeful chants of abortion supporters echoed through the campus of the University of Texas San Antonio as students giddily sang, mocked, and danced through a pro-life group’s display known as the “Cemetery of the Innocents,” which is a dedication to the unborn killed by abortion.

“Stop, hey, hey, what’s that sound, all the fetuses are in the ground!” sang one female student, dancing in the mock cemetery. She also led chants with the other pro-abortion protesters in support for Planned Parenthood and bragged about getting an abortion herself. “Look, there’s mine right there!” she said, pointing to one of the crosses representing a killed unborn child.

I was studying the book of John this morning and Jesus explains what must happen in order to be saved in 3:16 “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

And then in verses 19-21 explains why people remain lost. It’s not because they fail to understand the gospel, but because they do not want to change. “men loved the darkness rather than light” and they do not want their evil deeds exposed.

It’s interesting that these students publicly and unashamedly promote evil and celebrate the death of innocent babies. While unrepentant sin is not always an indication that someone is doomed to hell, this type of behavior makes it difficult to see how someone who follows Christ and believes in His word could celebrate the destruction of human life.

Jeremiah 1:5

“I knew you before I formed you in your mother’s womb.”

Have a great weekend and go to church this Sunday!
