Blood

I cannot tear myself away from the television images of the war. It has come to my consciousness that it takes human blood being shed to defeat evil. Our brave soldiers are fiercely fighting to rid the world of Saddam who has stated that he admires Stalin, who was just as brutal a murderer as himself.These ruthless leaders personify evil.Saddam’s crimes against humanity are inconceivable to the civilized world. The only way to rid the world of them is for soldiers to go to war. When that happens, they shed their blood. I do not believe that television can portray that these soldiers are just like we are. They want to live. They are in the prime of their lives. They have wives and children, moms and dads.

Evil can only be defeated by the shedding of innocent blood. Is it a coincidence that Jesus Christ shed His blood to defeat evil for all of humanity? Modern day skeptics and liberals scoff at the notion of Christ’s blood somehow magicallydefeating evil. It is no surprise that this same crowd thinks that negotiation with a demon possessed madman will lead to peace. Courageous soldiers willing to sacrifice their lives and shed their blood to defeat evil is what will subdue a madman like Saddam. Christ’s blood is the only atonement forthe sins of a fallen world. Without Christ’s blood sacrifice, evil would prevail.
