There are many books written about why bad things happen to good people who love the Lord immensely. Rarely do we see books written about the “good” things that happen to people who love God. I can personally attest that my own life is a testimony to good things happening to someone who loves God. Also I would be remiss to quickly add thatI do not deserve the rich blessings that God has heaped upon me.God has richly blessed me with a wonderful spiritual life, family, and more material stuff than I need in spite of my shortcomings.

Yes I have had some bad things happen to me and even moments oftragedy in my life since I became a Christian, but those things helped shape my character and reminded me that this world is temporary and that it, and all of the things in it, will one day disappear, but my soul will live on for eternity. Therefore I should keep that “always” first in my mind to help me to try and prioritize my activity with God as the number one priority. Without bad things, this perspective would be hard to obtain.Good things do come from bad things.

“Overall” things have worked out so incredibly well that I cannot believe it. That is what the Bible guarantees. Not convinced? Be patient. God’s plan sometimes takes some time to develop. I look at it like reading a book. It is hard to know the outcome when reading the first couple of chapters. God’s plan is still unfolding around us. The Bible tells us that things will work out for those who love the Lord. Do you love the Lord? How can you demonstrate your love to Him today? Watch for good things to happen when you really start loving God.

How well do you know the Bible?
God’s description of how far Christ has removed our transgressions from us was given to us in the Biblecenturies before Jesus was born. The distance is incalculable, but even the ancient people of the day could easily envision it. What measure was used?
Psalm 103:12
