Divine instruction

The Bible is inspired by God. I talked with a friend of mine the other day who is greatly confused about religion. WhenI asked him what he believed, his answer was to tell me what his mother believed and then what his father believed. I said, “That is fine for them, but what do you believe?” He was very vague and it became obvious that he has not really made up his mind. He is an agnostic. I was once an agnostic and can relate. He is currently leaning towards a religion that is widelypracticed in Asia that is Pagan in nature.

As I explainedGod’s plan of salvation to him, I told him that his faith should be founded upon more than what his parents believe,a hunch, or a feeling. Acharismaticpreacher, family member or friend may talk to you about God’s plan. but base your faith on God’s holy word the Bible. It was written in ancient times and has survived down through the ages to the present time of high technology and putting people on the moon.The Bible has never had one word proven to be wrong. Today it is still the number one best selling book worldwide. Other religions have been exposed as myths, superstition and in many cases outright lies and hoaxes, but not the Bible. Every archeological find uncovered further verifies the truth within Bible. All of this would be as expected if it is truly inspired by God. Why would an all powerful God allow His Word to be twisted? The answer is He wouldn’t!

I became a believer by reading and studying the Bible. Being independent minded to begin with, I wanted to read it for myself and make up my own mind.I did not want some flashy preacher to tell me whatI should believe. Most people do not take this approach. In fact far too many Christian believers have never read the Bible in its entirety. To me this is like betting your eternal destiny on someone else’s belief and understanding. Studying the Bible and prayer can dramatically change anyone’s life for the better. Even if you have a good life, it will make it better. If your life is not so good, it will change. Ask God to come into your life, and use the tool, (the Bible),He has given us to understand Him and what He desires from us, His children, and it will make an unbelievable difference to you. I can personally attest to it. Then use the Bible to preach the Word of God!

How well do you know the Bible?
People in Alaska think they have some long days in the summer. The Bible teaches that there is no night timein heaven. We will be bathed in light continuously. Does the Bible reveal whether or not the sun or a “star”illuminates us?
