Envy/self-seeking

The Bible teaches that envy and self-seeking in the heart are demonic in nature. Imagine that the next time you are envious of someone. Satan uses many tools to confuse and destroy us. God offers peace and love, satan offers strife and turmoil. If your life is full of strife, confusion and turmoil, draw closer to God and ask Him for peace. The good life is not measured in material things, beautiful people, drugs or alcohol, the good life is knowing peace and peace only comes from above!

But if you have bitter envy and
self-seeking in your hearts, do not
boast and lie against the truth.
This wisdom does not descend
from above, but is earthly, sensual,
demonic.
For where envy and self-seeking
exist, confusion and every evil thing
are there.
But the wisdom that is from
above is first pure, then peaceable,
gentle, willing to yield, full of mercy
and good fruits, without partiality
and without hypocrisy.
Now the fruit of righteousness
is sown in peace by those who make peace.
