The United States of America are not really united these days. There are two Americas consisting of people with diametrically opposite views about practically everything. We have a President beloved by many and hated by many. We have a congress in the same predicament. The media is dominated by the Democratic Party and fuels the hatred and division daily. The Democratic Party seems to champion everything that I personally oppose including gay marriages, abortion, teaching garbage in schools, and pornography on the airwaves to name a few. The Republicans vehemently oppose these issues and the two sides are not even civil to each other. What will come of it? These sides are not mildly disagreeing, they fervently disagree. Will it lead to another civil war? I think it just might one day.
I have reached a point whereby I can no longer bear to watch television or even read a paper. The constant Trump-bashing and negative carping about everything by our liberal press in this election year literally sickens me. I have determined that I only have a few options whereby I can have any impact on the situation. My plan is to ensure that I do everything that I personally can do to help my country. I will most certainly vote, contribute the maximum legal amount to the Republican Party, and most importantly pray for our President and his team throughout each and every day. Aside from that I have decided to turn it over to the Lord and await the Lord to lift me up.
I have been avoiding the news entirely for several days now and am decidedly less stressed. All of my life I have listened to the news religiously, supplementing it with newspapers, magazines, and Internet articles. Now I am dreadfully uninformed, yet much happier. I don’t know how long I can live like this, but it seems pretty good right now. God has told us that the world will become more and more evil in the last days and just as He has done throughout the history of mankind, He has proven accurate in His prophecies. I hate to see it happen, yet there is no sense in getting all worked up about it when it does and as we see it unfold around us . . . or dont see it as the case might be . . .
