As anticipated the investigative report coming from the IG confirmed that the F.B.I. and Justice Departments are corrupt at the highest levels. Many conservatives leapt for joy yesterday when the report was released. It confirmed what everyone who even mildly follows the news already understood, and now it’s in out in the open. Some of the top leaders within the justice department and F.B.I. deliberately tried to prevent Donald Trump from becoming President and once elected tried to get him impeached, an effort that is ongoing. This is a sad day for our great country and is no cause for celebration.

I read this morning that as election day approaches in Mexico 113 politicians have been murdered by the cartels. We shake our heads and say, what’s up with those people? In 2016, Mexico’s “intentional homicide total” of 23,000 deaths was “second only to Syria.” That makes it the second deadliest country in the world.

I have news for you, Mexico wasn’t always a murderous country ruled by gangsters. It began with corruption that spread like cancer to every area of that culture. Today most of the country is a cesspool of corruption, murder, drug distribution, and sex trafficking and is ruled mostly by organized crime families. In the regions they control, criminal groups persecute believers and churches, issuing death threats and murdering Christian leaders to silence them. These groups view Christian ministry as a threat to the criminal agenda with their cultural transformation ideas.

An ugly side-effect of corruption is Christian persecution. The strong presence of corruption at all levels of the Mexican government has resulted in tremendous Christian persecution in the country due to a lack of protections for Christians. Criminal groups attack priests and pastors, while local leaders attack converts to Christianity. By killing the parish priest in a small village, the “narcos” assert their authority in a brutal way. Not even the traditional, spiritual authority of the priest is respected: “narcos” alone rule,”

As secular ideology has become more prominent in the country, associated groups are intent on eliminating religious expression in the public domain altogether. Secular intolerance affects all Christians who publicly express their religious convictions, resulting in harassment, criticism and ridicule.

Sound familiar?

Mexico is but one example of corruption being used to destroy a country. There are plenty more, Venezuela for example is another. Could this ever happen right here in the United States? Many might scoff at this notion, but the leftists are making progress and interestingly even call their effort “progressive.” They have become deeply ingrained in our government which by the way amounts to 17% of U.S. workers who work for federal, state, or local government, ranging from 38% in Washington, D.C., to 12% in Ohio. More than a quarter of workers in Washington, D.C., Alaska, Virginia, and Maryland work for government, as do upwards of 15% in the vast majority of states.

No not all are corrupt, nor are all F.B.I. and Justice Department employees. It is the corrupt leadership that is of major concern. Take some time and read the IG report and see if you don’t agree.

Christians have a vote and they can use it to drain the swamp or fill it. Historically Americans tend not to vote in a non-presidential election year. A simple majority in the house could allow leftists what they need to trump up a charge against Trump. Get out and vote. It’s important!

2 Peter 2:19

They promise them freedom, but they themselves are slaves of corruption. For whatever overcomes a person, to that he is enslaved.

Have a great weekend and go to church this Sunday!
