The photographs coming back from the planet Mars are very interesting. I believe that I recall someone saying that it is 100 million miles away. It is difficult for me to even envision a distance of that magnitude and Mars is a nearby planet. One of the things of which I am constantly amazed is the enormous size of the universe with its zillions of stars and galaxies. The Bible states that God knows each star and even has a name for every one of them. Trying to envision intellect of that proportion is impossible. Often I seem to get wrapped up in my little world, it is helpful for me to step back and just realize how insignificant and small I am in proportion to the enormity of creation, and how intelligent and powerful God has to be. It is and should be a humbling experience, yet fascinating too. I say fascinating because God loves each and every soul on this planet. Indeed the Bible states that we were created a little lower than angels and crowned with glory and honor; it also states that the very hairs on our heads are numbered and that He loves us with a love so deep we will never fully understand it.

God devised a plan for us and it is a good plan. Eventually those who love Him and obey Him will enjoy peace and happiness that is beyond comprehension. I look forward to seeing the marvels that God will reveal. The Bible tells us that eye has not seen, nor ear ever heard the wonderful things God has in store for His children. One look at the photos coming from Mars and the Hubbell telescope photos of the beauty deep within our universe gets me excited just thinking about it. If that does not start your day off with a smile, then something is wrong…

Romans 8:18

For I consider that the sufferings

of this present time are not worthy

to be compared with the glory

which shall be revealed in us.

For the earnest expectation of

the creation eagerly waits for the

revealing of the sons of God.
