My son told me of a hilarious conversation that he had with some liberal friends who love Obama. They were mad at Trump and vociferously running him down and he asked why they were so upset with him. They replied because of the tax cut.
Huh?
He asked why they would be upset that they would pay less taxes. They responded that corporations would get lower taxes too. They both work for corporations and he asked why it would be bad for the corporation that they worked for to get a tax break too??? Wouldn’t the corporation be better able to give raises to employees and bonuses if they paid less in taxes? Wouldn’t these tax savings in part be used to expand which would create more job opportunities which would allow for promotions?
They quickly changed the subject and started deriding Trump because he wasn’t even capable of getting Obamacare repealed. Incredulously my son stated, “Now let me get this straight, you are mad at Trump because he couldn’t get Obamacare repealed, and yet you love Obama who got it passed???
That one got him to scratching his head and he decided just to change the subject. He described this couple as being “good people” and said better friends could not be found. When I queried him on where all that bitterness towards Trump came from, he laughingly replied that he didn’t know, he guessed that they were just raised as liberals.
I told him that it was a case of constant propaganda on CNN and other networks that despise Trump. Does anyone aside from me find it odd how the mainstream media can take totally illogical thought processes derived from Democratic talking points and make otherwise intelligent good people believe the lies instead of common logic.
Several years ago, I was involved with a movie about Jim Jones, the preacher who convinced his following in Guyana to drink poisoned Kool Aide and commit mass suicide. As I went to the set I began to understand the depravity of what this man was teaching his flock. It was amazing to learn of the mind control that he was able to exert over the people.
Soviet era Communist ruler Lenin once said if you tell someone that snow is black instead of white long enough, they will believe it. Hitler and countless other dictators through the years have demonstrated this same point. Through the years with the advent of the Internet, social media, and micro targeting techniques, propaganda has been perfected. North Korea, China, Cuba, and Iran are all extreme examples, but they pale into insignificance when compared to what Satan is doing right here at home in turning people away from God. He is the master of deceit and is in my mind the primary reason that Christians are the most persecuted people group in the world today.
Look at the changed views on illegal drugs, marriage, abortion, pornography, anarchy, and so on. Our society is abandoning morality and as a result the world is following our lead. Things are acceptable today that were taboo just a few years ago. What the Bible states is right, is deemed wrong, and what is wrong, is deemed to be right. It is happening in schools, churches, government, businesses, media, families, and the arts and entertainment industry. Constant bombardment and mind-bending brainwashing.
My hope is to put a dent in their effort by using the Jesus Alliance to post biblical truth daily to millions of people. Alas we are vastly out-financed and outnumbered, but even if we reach the few it will be worthwhile.
I pray daily for God to directly intervene and many of the gains of the Trump administration in appointing decent judges, and undoing so many antichrist policies, I believe, are an answer to those prayers and the prayers of millions of Christians around the world.
The Bible predicts this deceitful activity will increase right up until the end and many will fall victim to it, but as always we are given instructions on how to combat it . . . Keep the faith and study God’s word the Holy bible to find your truth in this deceitful world. You will know a tree by the fruit it bears. If someone is advocating sin you will know where it is coming from – Hell! Stay with the truth!
