Wow! I attract the PETA bunny hugger crowd like cheese attracts rats. The photo of my whitetail trophy was well received by most, but not all. Apparently, there are those among us that think whitetail deer are like Bambi complete with intellectual discussions and familial relationships.
Uh, sorry to let you in on the truth, but deer are animals and don’t discuss war and peace over a glass of Cabernet. Nor are they family oriented and do not engage in family discussions. That only happens at Disney world . . .
They have few natural predators anymore and if left to wantonly breed without harvest, they end up multiplying beyond their forage capacity and end up starving and dying cruel deaths. The fawns are the first to go because they cannot reach the browse line and even the adult deer stand on their hind legs to reach the sparse greenery upon which they live. As they continue to eat they inevitably cannot reach any greenery and then they die a cruel death from starvation, or get so weak they make easy prey for coyotes. Humanely harvesting a certain number of the herd ensures overpopulation like this does not occur.
But it is nothing but a waste of breath and keystrokes to discuss the truth with fanatics. God gave us dominion over the beasts of the earth and creatures of the sea for good reason. We have intellects capable of doing the intelligent thing to protect and perpetuate the species. Admittedly there are those slobs who don’t do the right thing and generally money is involved where they just shoot animals in a pen and call it hunting. They give hunting a bad name and no one despises them more than true sportsmen.
We live in an age where we are nearly dominated by politically correct thinking and false narratives. Today many men have become emasculated with some actually desiring to be women, and then there are the women who seem to want to be men.
Okay if you are unhappy with your sex go do your own thing, but don’t try to tell me, my kids, or grandkids that what you do is right. It is not; according to the Bible it is sin. Some of these fanatics want to tell us what we can say, think, and do even if it is a lie. Dang they even want to come in the bathrooms and locker rooms with us.
I don’t know what to think about this. I was in the men’s locker room at the gym the other day and some guy was in there putting on a pink dress, white panty hose, a pink purse, and makeup.
I don’t get it. Why would he want to do this in front of a bunch of musclebound men?
God created men to be men and women to be women. It’s not me saying it, so don’t get your panties in a wad. God is the author of those rules. The politically correct crowd comes out against this part of the Bible saying it is hate.
Hmmm . . . I don’t hate that guy. I do not understand why he wants to dress up like a woman, but in this free country he has that right. If he breaks God’s laws, well that’s between him and God.
God insists that the entire Bible be taken as it’s written. The PC crowd cannot cut out the parts they don’t like and paste in revisions. It has withstood the test of time and will be around long after we depart. Those who wish to cut and paste the Bible will never succeed. It is eternal. Matt. 24:25 – Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will not pass away.
There are the haters who despise the truth and try to discredit the Bible, but it is fruitless. I tried it myself back when I wasn’t a believer. Merely reading it convinced me otherwise.
Today I say unequivocally that the Bible is accurate. It is inspired by God or better “God breathed” and merely recorded by men as given to them by the Holy Spirit.
If “inspired” really means “God-breathed,” then the claim of 2 Timothy 3:16 All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, means that all Scripture, being God-breathed, is without error and therefore can be trusted completely.
God cannot lie. Check out Hebrews 6:18 – so that by two unchangeable things, in which it is impossible for God to lie, we who have fled for refuge might have strong encouragement to hold fast to the hope set before us. He would cease to be God if He breathed out errors and contradictions, even in the smallest part. A denial of biblical inerrancy always leads to a loss of confidence in Scripture both in the pulpit and in the pew. Don’t be swayed by Satan in that direction.
The Bible tells us to love the sinner, but to hate the sin. Defending a lie is not the answer to avoid hurting someone’s feelings. Call things what they are but give those caught up in it a break. We are all weak flesh and as Jesus pointed out who among us is without sin?
Certainly not me.
Well that about wraps it up – Oh, I almost forgot. Want to see Bambi’s brother? He is not coming home for dinner.
Instead he will be dinner in the form of many bunny-hugger-burgers for all my Tallahassee homeless friends. I donate all my harvested deer to the Good Samaritan Network homeless center where 150 men are being fed daily. They love Bambi filets too.
