Recently I spoke with someone who is bitterly angry towards our Lord. Im sorry but Im sick and tired of hearing it. Dont blame God for the sickness, death and depravity of this world; it does not come from Him. Why these people do not vent their anger towards satan and oftentimes themselves I do not know. Perhaps your child died at the hand of a drunk driver, or perhaps your child was drunk and crashed their car and died. Is that Gods fault? The Bible tells us that drinking alcohol to excess is a sin. It also tells us there are consequences to sin including death. The world was perfect prior to our committing sin. The Bible unequivocally states that every human being that has ever lived on this planet has committed sin. Death, sickness, depravity, et al is the direct consequence of that sin. Mankind was warned of the consequence, but failed to heed the warning.

God felt compassion for us and found a way to be reconciled with Him again. He is righteous and by His very nature sin must be punished. He sent His son to take our punishment and fulfill the righteous requirements that we cannot fulfill alone. Jesus Christ gave everything that can be given for humanity and many do not appreciate it. There will come a day when tears will be wiped away and death, sickness, and depravity will forever be gone for those who love Him and appreciate what He did for us. He took our punishment once, but those who do not accept His tremendous loving sacrifice will take their own punishment next go around and it will be never-ending.

If you wish to see what the physical punishment that Jesus willingly endured for you and me, watch the new Mel Gibson movie The Passion which will be released Feb. 25th. Note that the physical pain and suffering that He endured that is so horrifically presented was insignificant, compared to the mental anguish of our perfect holy sinless Savior taking on all of the sins of the world and for the first time ever to have His holy Father turn His back on Him and leave Him all alone. If you are bitter towards Jesus Christ for any reason, you should think again! He loves you so much mere words cannot describe it…

Matt.27:28

And they stripped Him and put a

scarlet robe on Him.

When they had twisted a crown

of thorns, they put it on His head,

and a reed in His right hand. And

they bowed the knee before Him and

mocked Him, saying, Hail, King of

the Jews.!

Then they spat on Him, and

took the reed and struck Him on the

head.

And when they had mocked

Him, they took the robe off Him, put

His own clothes on Him, and led

Him away to be crucified.

How well do you know the Bible?

Jesus was buried in a rich mans tomb. The man was a disciple of Jesus. What was his name?

Matt.27:57
