I watched a special about Tommy Hamil, the contractor from Mississippi who was captured by the Iraqis and escaped. I was very impressed with his bravery and courage. The man did not fear death and credited his faith in Jesus Christ as the reason. In short he figured if he died he would go to heaven and further God had His purpose for everything that had happened to him; therefore he did not waste time worrying about what could possiblyhappen to him and/or why it happened to him.
What faith! We should all be in the same mindset. Regardless of terrorist threats, tornados, earthquakes, a faltering economy, bad news from a doctor, whatever, we should remain steadfast in our faith.God is with us always and that is all we need. Goodness and mercy are ours forever no matter what dire circumstance may temporarily appear…

Psalm 23:4
Yea though I walk through the
valley of the shadow of death, I
will fear no evil; for You are with me;
Your rod and Your staff, they comfort
me.
You prepare a table before me in
the presence of my enemies; You
anoint my head with oil; My cup
runs over.
Surely goodness and mercy shall
follow me all the days of my life; and
I will dwell in the house of the Lord
forever.
