My wife and I were packing up again getting ready to move this weekend. We decided to go through all of our photos, BOXES of them. I viewed photos of myself from the time that I was a baby through each step of my life, until today. If nothing else it emphasized to me that life has gone quickly. One minute it seems like we are youngsters and the next we are in the golden years.

I was wondering this morning how many people missed attending church this holiday weekend, or any weekend for that matter. It is so important for us to go to obtain the strength and guidance that we need, yet so many seem to want avoid it at every opportunity. We will not live forever. Life is here today and then gone like a vapor. God told us to remember the Sabbath and keep it holy. I do not think He is messing around with this command. Keep in mind this is one of the Ten Commandments. We need fellowship with Gods people, we need to hear Gods word preached, and we need to pray often. It is for our own safety and good.

What you do with your short life on this earth directly determines how you will spend eternity. Eternity is forever, think about it and go to church next Sunday!

James 4:14

For what is your life? It is even a vapor that appears

for a little time and then vanishes away.

Which of the Ten Commandments concerns the Sabbath?

Exodus 20:1 (or read it in the lobby…)
