I had a dream last night about our nation. The United States flag was displayed and I was told to look at it and as I did I gleaned the following understanding:
Its meaning was explained to me in the following fashion: the red and white stripes were the people in the United States who want to bring back Jesus Christ to the public square and who desire for our motto, “In God we trust”, to be relevant once again in this great nation. The red stripes represented those believers who fervently express themselves in this regard and openly call for change. The red seemed to indicate the blood of Christ in my mind. The white stripes represent the silent Christians who want change, but are reticent to say or do anything for fear, peer pressure, or whatever other reason.
I was told the solid blue in the top left quadrant of the flag represented those who oppose God and want secularism to continue to reign supreme with total separation from God. The white stars within it represented those few shining lights within that group who want to include God, but whose hands are tied by the majority.
This morning I was meditating about this and remembered the Democrat’s last convention. When developing their platform and voting on what to include, the question was voiced as to whether God should be included in the platform. The measure was immediately booed down and soundly rejected.
Another incident was the denial of a young woman to address the convention. She was an abortion survivor who had narrowly escaped death and miraculously rescued only after she could be heard crying after being discarded by an abortionist who mistakenly thought it was a lifeless “fetus”. The right to choose was the only voice heard during the convention, (just as it was during the demonstrations this past Saturday by feminists who would not allow right to life women the right to march with them).
Maybe this dream was just the result of too much pizza during the playoff games yesterday, or maybe it was a revelation from God. The next time you look at our flag I hope you will remember this dream and think of Jesus Christ and His blessing on this country. I wish our flag could be solid red.
