I read some commentary that was made by former Patriots legendary quarterback Tom Brady, whereby he answered questions concerning whether fans were being forced to choose between him and his former coach Bill Belichick. One excerpt was as follows:
“Do you think the fans may be needed this? They don’t want to have to pick between Brady and Belichick. They want to pick, you know, both of you,” Gray asked Brady.
Brady replied: “Why should they? Why do we do that? That makes no sense to me. There’s so much division in the world. There’s just so much. Every day you turn on the TV and see different media. It’s more destructive than ever. That’s not my personality. I try to build people up. I try to bring the best out in people. I try to encourage people to be positive, to look at the glass as always half full. I’ve looked at it like that for a long time and I’m going to continue to do that because it’s served me really well.”
Brady and Belichick had a brief hug after the game . . . Brady continued: “You know, as I said earlier this week, from a player’s standpoint you just expect the coach to give you everything he’s got, and I’m sure as a player that’s what he was hoping from me. But nothing is really accurate that I ever see. It’s all kind of – definitely doesn’t come from my personal feelings or beliefs. I got a lot of respect for him as a coach and obviously a lot of respect for this organization and all the different people here that try to make it successful.”
Yesterday Florida Governor Desantis’s wife was diagnosed with breast cancer. She is young and beautiful with three very young children and facing a devastating disease that could take her life. My wife had it and I can assure you it is among the most wicked of diseases. She went on my prayer list as soon as I heard about it.
CNN announced this terrible news yesterday and immediately left-wing idiots came out wishing her the worst with comments I won’t dignify in repeating other than to say they are hoping she will die an excruciating death from it.
Why? Because of her husband’s stance on Covid.
Senator Sinema from Arizona was followed into a restroom and filmed by activists that didn’t agree with her stance of not voting to spend 3 ½ trillion more dollars on socialist programs especially as it pertains to illegal immigrants. President Biden commented on it and said it was all part of public life.
Huh? Being filmed going to the bathroom is all part of it? Egad!
These are just a few examples of how low we have sunk and each of you is well aware of the divisiveness over not only health care, but education, race, financial standing, military, China, socialism, and so on and I won’t bore you further with what you already know.
It seems there is no place in this world anymore for civility, or kindness, or compassion, or independent thinking. We are manipulated by social and mainstream media to be divisive and backbiting and steered toward whatever ideology they espouse. If one chooses not to accept it, then the powers that be will release their hounds of hell to hunt you down at your home or in a bathroom and destroy you.
I’m watching the sun come up over beautiful turquoise waters and gently swaying coconut trees pushed by a mild tropical breeze and I’m at peace. I can find comfort in a world filled with chaos, division, hate, and turmoil by trusting God who sits above the events of history and yet is intimately involved with them. When you get overwhelmed and distressed with events of which you have no control, look to the Lord and realize He is sitting on His throne and will soon return for His children and remove them far from the grip of evil. I await His divine retribution and His rescue with anticipation.
Isaiah 35:4
” . . . say to those with fearful hearts, “Be strong, do not fear; your God will come, he will come with vengeance; with divine retribution, he will come to save you.”
