I’ve been enjoying the Florida Keys for the last several days. The weather is nice, and the beauty of this place is unparalleled. It was really nice to get away from total seclusion of our home and come down here and enjoy this tropical paradise. I’m heading back to Jupiter today but am resolved to venture out more, maybe heading up to North Carolina next week.
I cannot understand the hate and violence that I see raging through our country. While everyone does not enjoy the beauty of the Keys where they live, most everywhere one can visit glorious beauty somewhere in relatively close proximity to their abode.
Someone was recently griping about the violence besieging Portland, Chicago, Seattle and other hotspots via Antifa and BLM thugs and criminals. I hate to sound callous, but it seems they are getting what they asked for when they elected a bunch of ultra-left wing socialists to lead their state and community. It doesn’t affect me much aside from making me feel repulsed by the idiocy of it all. And yes I pray for idiots as well . . .
My son lives in a suburb near Portland; however has been unaffected by the turmoil that has mainly been confined to the downtown area. He and his family enjoy the beauty of Washington state by going camping, hiking, fishing, crabbing, golfing and other wholesome things on his off days and they are really enjoying life. The contrast of the Antifa/BLM bunch who live in the same general vicinity spending their days planning the evil and destruction they perpetuate later that night is striking.
Go figure . . . It is mind-boggling that they enjoy lawlessness over all else.
It seems they awake filled with hate and go to bed feeling the same way. They live in such God ordained beauty, but it is as though they don’t even notice it surrounding them.
Is this what free will is all about?
According to the Bible it is. After the fall from the Garden of Eden beginning with Cain and Abel there have been those who want to rage and those who desire peace. As for me and my family, we will follow the Lord. I try my utmost not to think about those marauders. If they began to take over a city in which I lived, I would pick up and leave . . . Immediately! If I had to hitch hike out of town to get out of a hell hole like that I would. There are much nicer places to live I can assure you.
It’s a crazy world these days, but you can definitely smell the roses if you are determined. Interestingly God had a purpose even for creating the wicked and troublesome days such as these we are in. So why worry about it all? Everything is going to plan just when we realize it is beyond our control . . . So relax and enjoy your Father and all He has created for you and pray for the lost.
Proverbs 16:4
The Lord has made everything for its purpose, even the wicked for the day of trouble.
