I was reading about the Democrats “Green New Deal” that is being circulated in Washington D.C. They want our nation to quit eating meat due to the serious problem of cows and their nasty habit of letting go. Then I realized that I have become a part of saving the planet from cow flatulence by eating a big steak over the weekend. That cow will never again emit methane gas into our atmosphere.
Rumor has it that the bean industry is going be targeted next and it is hoped that potential human violators might avoid being abolished along with cows due to this important measure.
Democrats led by former bartender socialist Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) are calling for abolishing cows, nuclear energy, and airplanes, “upgrading all existing buildings in the United States including all of our homes to be energy compliant,” guaranteeing “high-quality health care” for all Americans, free college for all, effort-free jobs for all — or, for those who prefer not to work – free paychecks, and spreading the Green New Deal to other countries. There is no mention where the estimated 44 trillion dollars that economists estimate it would take to transform our nation into nirvana might come from, but Cortez indicates the wealthy will pay for it.
Well silly me, it was right there in front of me all the time, of course we’ll just rob from the rich. Hmmm . . . So how much money do these guys have? The combined wealth of the top ten wealthiest individuals in the United states totals $607.7 Billion. The current US Debt is roughly $22 Trillion. Uh oh . . .
What?
They don’t have enough money?
No, and it gets worse; there is the fact that approximately 75–90% of it, is not liquid but in hard assets of some sort. For example, Warren Buffett (3rd richest person in America) owns Berkshire Hathaway. They sell houses. These are assets, not tangible capital. Therefore, that house for sale actually makes up some of Warren’s net worth. So, assuming these billionaires can simply dump all of their personal wealth into the dreams of Nirvana and make it become a reality is so absurd that it exceeds ridiculousness.
Do you ever get the impression that many of the elected leaders of the United States are as nutty as fruit cakes? Did you know that every announced Democrat that is running for President has come out in support of this resolution?
I read this morning that California ski resorts are urging people not to come skiing right now because there is too much snow. Now someone somewhere most surely will claim that the excessive snow is due to global warming and others will accuse them of tripping on LSD. It is like fake news and corrupt media – how can we know the truth? Until and unless reasonable non-political, non-corrupt people with only truth as their agenda can come together to think with their minds and reasonably discuss this issue and honestly understand the truth, no progress will be made.
In the meantime, I’m considering having a hamburger for breakfast this morning and reading the Bible concerning how the world will end when Christ returns.
