What do you think about antifa thugs going to Fox News correspondent Tucker Carlson’s home and destroying his property and scaring his wife so badly with their threats that she had to hide in a pantry? I do know that if they came to my home they would be met with armed resistance. It is sad that our country is in the midst of a war for freedom of speech. These thugs started their intimidation tactics harassing people whose message they don’t like at restaurants and other public places, but now are publishing street addresses of their victim’s homes and descending upon them in angry mobs. 20 people are reported to have shown up at Tucker’s home where they destroyed property and threatened to bring back a pipe bomb and blow the place up. Can you imagine what this was like for her? The Carlson’s have four small children that as luck would have it were not home at the time. Thank God!
Hmmm . . . The way I see it one clip in an AR15 or two in a 9mm handgun should do the job to eliminate that 20 person threat.
So, is this thinking radical? It all depends upon one’s interpretation of antifa thugs. If you think of them as terrorists, then it makes sense. If one views them as mere protestors, then I suppose it is radical. I don’t know your definition of terrorism, but this is terrorism. Either you keep your mouth shut or we will come to your home and blow it up with you inside. I cannot imagine my wife being so afraid of this horde that she would have to hide in a pantry. I have taught her to accurately shoot an array of guns and she has a concealed carry permit. In fact, the last time we shot sporting clays together she outshot me. I would hope she would not hesitate to use her guns if someone threatened her while she was home alone while I was away as Tucker Carlson was. But the fact of the matter is that I don’t know if she would shoot someone or not.
I KNOW I wouldn’t hesitate to use my guns to defend myself, family, and home. While most find what I’m writing to be distasteful, unfortunately, I do believe that before any progress is gained in deterring this kind of mob activity that it will take someone or likely several people to be killed by these thugs to awaken the populace. Our government needs to classify these crimes as terrorism and designate these misfits as terrorists and start locking them up and throwing away the key to change the situation.
Otherwise they will continue to destroy property, beat people with bats and pipes and practice anarchy. So far most of these thugs have been radical liberals attacking conservative lawmakers and commentators, or people wearing a MAGA hat. If there is not a change soon, I predict that there will be those on the right who will respond in kind which could lead to armed conflict in the streets akin to the beginning of a civil war. In fact. several clashes occurred recently in New York. Many countries have experienced it in the past or are experiencing it now. Africa, the Middle East, Mexico, South and Central America, Israel, and other countries with deeply divided populations engage in civil war daily. Ireland’s citizens fought the UK for years and the resentment still runs deep. It is commonplace to see people with AR15’s strapped to their shoulders on most any corner in many of these countries.
Some advocate taking all of the guns away. If that is done how could anyone defend themselves? Laws will never make guns go away and denying regular citizens access makes them defenseless against thugs who will have them regardless of any law. The recent shooting in California occurred in spite of their having among the strictest gun laws in America and the same can be said of Chicago and Baltimore where murder rates have attained war level casualty rates.
Self-protection of family and property is the primary reason the framers of the constitution gave us the 2nd amendment. Interestingly it was written to protect citizens from a tyrannical government similar to the one for which they had just fought a long war to rid themselves of.
In the UK guns are very strictly regulated so their ruthless gangs of thugs are roaming the streets of London murdering people with knives. They are setting all-time records for murder rates in that venerable city. I would imagine those citizens wish they could carry guns for protection. It’s obvious the government cannot protect their citizens.
Ugh . . . What a mess our country and world has become. It began with Cain and Able and hasn’t improved since. The only solution is for the people to turn to God. In the meantime, I would suggest doing what Nehemiah instructed those rebuilding the wall around Jerusalem. Arm yourselves and be prepared to fight.

The officers stationed themselves behind all the people of Judah who were rebuilding the wall. The laborers who carried materials worked with one hand and held a weapon with the other. And each of the builders worked with his sword strapped at his side.
