In a rally in Alabama Donald Trump decried those players that refuse to stand for the National Anthem at the beginning of games and said in a profane way that they should be fired for doing it and the public should boycott teams that don’t. The result was predictable and all he seemed to accomplish was to stir up a hornet’s nest of protest and add numbers to those disrespecting our flag and country.

It was nauseating to me to watch NFL players throughout the league disrespecting the country, our flag, and themselves this weekend. Most egregious were the teams that played in London when they refused to stand for the national anthem of the USA but stood for the British National Anthem. Even the singer at the Atlanta Detroit game took a knee with them and brandished the black power fist.

Ugh . . .

Owners, football players, their union and a myriad of other associations were in full meltdown as were the liberal media, and the entire circus of never Trumpers, calling Trump a dope and whining that he wanted to end freedom of speech.

Hmmm . . .  where were all these defenders of free speech when Tim Tebow was drummed out of the league for taking a knee and praying on the field or wearing John 3:16 under his eyes?

It isn’t about free speech. If it were they would have rallied for him. It is all right to stop someone saying a prayer, but don’t you dare stop someone from disrespecting our country or the police. The clown that started this disrespectful idiocy of refusing to stand for the National Anthem, Colin Kaepernick, also disrespected the brave police officers in our country by wearing socks to practice depicting police officers as pigs.

If you are some bleeding-heart liberal in favor of this behavior, I ask you what does any of this have to do with football? I saw some video of seventh graders taking a knee emulating their thug heroes. Another generation of ingrates is being brainwashed.

I was in Washington D.C. getting ready for a meeting and was watching the New York giants Philly game and a guy scored a touchdown and then got down on all fours and acted like a dog and lifted his hind leg to emulate a dog relieving himself. When he got an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty he went running up and down the sidelines screaming and cussing and throwing his helmet around like a complete moron. It doesn’t end there, I watched the conclusion of the FSU North Carolina game and when North Carolina won, one of their players ran out to the center of the field and spit on the FSU emblem.

What the heck?

I love football and hate the thought of tuning out, but I’ve about had it. If I watch ESPN all I get is a cartload of political liberalism and little about football. These people are ruining a great sport and it is easy to see why viewership is plummeting.

It is indicative of society losing all sense of decency and morality. These stars and celebrities can be paid mega millions, but they can’t buy manners and decent behavior. Where is the problem? No one will say it, but unfortunately most were raised without fathers in a Godless home. If you want to pray, then pray that fathers will raise their kids and do so in a godly way. Fathers here is some good advice to teach those youngsters:

James 1;21

Therefore, get rid of all moral filth and every expression of evil, and humbly receive the word planted in you, which can save your souls.
