Have you ever wondered where all those protestors are coming from? Every time I watch the news I wonder why these people aren’t working. Then I found out that they ARE working and getting paid a nice sum to protest.
Now the liberal leftist media has launched innumerable articles saying this practice does not exist, while conservative sites say it does and cite public records that prove $33 million was put up by billionaire radical leftist George Soros and distributed to the groups doing the protesting.
Unfortunately, we the public are left to wonder who is telling the truth. Well here is a true story for you. My wife recently told me that her personal trainer at LA Fitness commented that a friend of his tried to get him to go with him to a protest that was to occur downtown Sarasota. He asked his buddy what he was protesting, and he replied that he didn’t know, but it paid $300 for the afternoon. He told the trainer he should go too, but he declined.
The reason he declined was that his mother immigrated from Vietnam and had told him of the harsh life under communism that she faced and he said it was far more horrible than published reports. He feels fortunate that his family escaped and he hates the thought of the United States heading in that direction with socialism as its first step.
Unfortunately, far too many young people have no knowledge of what it is like to live under socialism and communism. One can simply look to the south at Cuba for a first-hand look at it. Cuba has a planned economy dominated by state-run enterprises. Most industries are owned and operated by the government and most of the labor force is employed by the state. Although some self-employment is allowed, the Communist Party formed worker co-operatives and the majority of workers work in them,. The average official salary in Cuba is $25 per month.
Cuba is a one-party communist state that outlaws other political parties. It represses dissent, and the protests that some of our young people are enjoying participating in are prohibited. Additionally they severely restrict freedoms of the press, assembly, speech, religion, and association. They have a system of neighborhood spies that report on their fellow citizens for any activity that goes against the state. There are no fair courts and political dissidents are routinely rounded up and imprisoned under the harshest of conditions.
Censorship is strictly enforced. I wonder how many millennials would appreciate their cell phones being taken away from them or filled with state run propaganda and nothing else.
I lived in Islamorada for 7 years and extensively fished the waters between Cuba and the Florida Keys and witnessed desperate people trying to escape the harsh life in Cuba on flimsy homemade rafts many times. A friend of mine found one man on an inner tube with one flipper trying to navigate the treacherous waters of the gulf stream. He had no water or food and was half dead. Fortunately, the Coast Guard picked him up and saved his life, although in so doing it meant he would be sent back and likely imprisoned under extremely harsh conditions.
The radical left has waged war upon the majority in this country through the decades with ingenious social engineering that has changed everything from movies, music, text books, and television programming which has pushed the mass population further away from the traditional roots where Western civilization began. The pendulum swing has gone so far to the left that equal rights for all has now morphed into anti-Christian, anti-white, anti-traditional, anti-male, and anti-capitalism.
We face powerful advocates who are united, organized, well-financed, smart, passionate, know how to use technology, and have developed a plan that is being brilliantly implemented. Socialists/communists are collective by nature while those of us who are independent free thinkers tend to be… well…independent. The time to unite is now. Though one would never know it from what comes out of academia, Hollywood, and the media, we actually outnumber the anti-faith crowd 7-3. The problem is we are like a bunch of cats in a gymnasium all going our own way with not one herd instinct exhibited.
Protestant Pastor Martin Niemöller included the following in his post-war anti-Nazi lectures.
First they came for the Socialists, and I did not speak out —
Because I was not a Socialist.
Then they came for the Trade Unionists, and I did not speak out —
Because I was not a Trade Unionist.
Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out —
Because I was not a Jew.
Then they came for me —
And there was no one left to speak for me.
We don’t have to go the way of the Germans blindly being led to the slaughter.
