So Hillary Clinton has spoken clearly on ending the lives of “unborn children”. In an interview on NBC’s Meet the Press she made the case that the unborn person is fair game because they are not protected under our constitution. The transcript reads:

TODD: When, or if, does an unborn child have constitutional rights?

CLINTON: Well, under our laws, currently, that is not something that exists. The unborn person doesn’t have constitutional rights.

Soon thereafter The View followed up on the previous comments and Clinton further explained her position when asked if it included a child that is just hours from birth:

PAULA FARIS: And Secretary, I want to ask you about some comments that you made over the weekend on Meet the Press regarding abortion. You said, quote, “the unborn person doesn’t have constitutional rights.” My question is at what point does someone have constitutional rights, and are you saying that a child, on its due date, just hours before delivery still has no constitutional rights?

HILLARY CLINTON: Under our law, that is the case.

She also added that she thinks women should have the sole decision-making power over the lives of unborn children without any limits. Paradoxically Clinton referred to the baby as “an unborn person” then went on to say, in the same breath, that such a person “does not have rights.”

Huh? One would think that the baby is either a lump of tissue with zero rights, or the baby is a person with rights.

If the person is a person, no matter how small and regardless of its location should it not retain constitutional rights, the same as everyone else?

Can any moral person make a believable claim that a baby just hours from birth has no rights and can be killed on its mother’s whim?

What is this nation thinking?

Are we indifferent to taking the lives of the defenseless?

What would Jesus say about this issue?

I recently read an interesting piece on this topic on

www.Gotquestions.org

“The Bible never specifically addresses the issue of abortion. However, there are numerous teachings in Scripture that make it abundantly clear what God’s view of abortion is. Jeremiah 1:5 tells us that God knows us before He forms us in the womb. Psalm 139:13 speaks of God’s active role in our creation and formation in the womb. Exodus 21:22 prescribes the same penalty—death—for someone who causes the death of a baby in the womb as for someone who commits murder. This clearly indicates that God considers a baby in the womb to be as human as a full-grown adult. For the Christian, abortion is not a matter of a woman’s right to choose. It is a matter of the life or death of a human being made in God’s image Genesis 1:26

The first argument that always arises against the Christian stance on abortion is “What about cases of rape and/or incest?” As horrible as it would be to become pregnant as a result of rape and/or incest, is the murder of a baby the answer? Two wrongs do not make a right. The child who is a result of rape/incest could be given in adoption to a loving family unable to have children on their own, or the child could be raised by its mother. Again, the baby is completely innocent and should not be punished for the evil acts of its father.

The second argument that usually arises against the Christian stance on abortion is “What about when the life of the mother is at risk?” Honestly, this is the most difficult question to answer on the issue of abortion. First, let’s remember that this situation is the reason behind less than one-tenth of one percent of the abortions done in the world today. Far more women have an abortion for convenience than women who have an abortion to save their own lives. Second, let’s remember that God is a God of miracles. He can preserve the life of a mother and a child despite all the medical odds being against it. Ultimately, though, this question can only be decided between a husband, wife, and God. Any couple facing this extremely difficult situation should pray to the Lord for wisdom (James 1:5) as to what He would have them to do.

Over 95 percent of the abortions performed today involve women who simply do not want to have a baby. Less than 5 percent of abortions are for the reasons of rape, incest, or the mother’s health at risk. Even in the more difficult 5 percent of instances, abortion should never be the first option. The life of a human being in the womb is worth every effort to allow the child to be born.

For those who have had an abortion, remember that the sin of abortion is no less forgivable than any other sin. Through faith in Christ, all sins can be forgiven (John 3:16; Romans 8:1; Colossians 1:14). A woman who has had an abortion, a man who has encouraged an abortion, or even a doctor who has performed one—can all be forgiven by faith in Jesus Christ.”

So people like Hillary Clinton look to the approximately 60 million unborn persons who never got to breath God’s fresh air as a triumph for women’s rights. Hillary is the only candidate endorsed by Planned Parenthood since its inception.

With radical views such as the foregoing it is understandable for that organization to support her; however, I wonder why the black population of America supports her.

Did you know that Planned Parenthood was founded by atheist and Christian-hater Socialist Margaret Sanger as a means to reduce the number of people of color, as well as the mentally and physically defective and other “undesirables”? She instituted something called the “Negro Project” in which minority neighborhoods were targeted and filled with abortion clinics and it in effect became a minority killing machine. She wrote: “The most urgent problem today is how to limit and discourage the over-fertility of the mentally and physically defective”. One of her favorite phrases in her magazine was “A Race of Thoroughbreds”, referring to the race she believed could be created by weeding out minority races, her main target being blacks in America.

Isn’t it odd to you that Hillary receives the endorsement of the overwhelming majority of blacks of America?

It is to me – Go figure . . .

Thanks be to God that forgiveness is available for our sins individually and as a nation. I often pray and confess this sin and ask God to forgive this nation for the slaughter of unborn persons, (innocent babies) in this country. If I could put a stop to it, I would. I know He understands my heart on this matter. I urge you to pray the same prayer and ask Him to withhold judgment for this heinous blight on our nation.

How can any God fearing follower of Christ support this philosophy? I don’t know, but I do know that in Jesus there remains hope eternal. He is willing to forgive anyone who confesses their sins and turns to Him as LORD!

Romans 8:12

For in Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit of life has set you free from the law of sin and death.
