It is not every day that we are afforded an opportunity to see and hear from someone who has risen to the top of their profession and become internationally acclaimed for all that they have done. I’m very sorry and I apologize that I waited until Friday to make you aware of our 2nd Sunday speaker at Honey Lake Church. His name is Nick Castellano and he lives in Phoenix, Arizona. I would have much preferred to give you some notice, but with chemo treatments for my wife and me going on this week, and a trip to Atlanta for the Jesus Alliance meeting (and preparations for the same dominating my mind) I waited until today.
I realize it gives precious little planning time but I urge you to attend Honey Lake Church this Sunday and hear what is sure to prove to be one of the all-time best of the many great speakers that we’ve had since we began conducting these services over two years ago.
Our special guest this Sunday is a scientist, with a Masters in Bio Chemistry
. . . but he also holds a Doctorate in Philosophy and Religion from the University of Canterbury, England. He was also trained at Virginia Poly Technical Institute and in the United States Navy Nuclear Power Program.
What is neat about his story is that he’s a master at unashamedly combining his secular scientific knowledge and training with Biblical truths, and teaching people how to apply God’s word in a new and exciting way. He makes the supernatural seem natural to all who are willing to listen and have an open mind.
Nick has built quite an international business and esteemed reputation for himself traveling often, usually on some speaking tour or business trip to the Middle East, Malaysia, Russia, China . . . etc. mentoring mega businesses with his newest cutting edge inventions relating to the water and oil industry. (Nick holds several patents on his processes in oil well chemistry and soil remediation.)
In his first book entitled “Awaken the Sleeper” (www.awakenthesleeperbook.com) Dr. Castellano uncovers (by the study of Conventional Science, Quantum Physics, Neuro-Science, and key Greek and Hebrew translations of the Truth):
- How to create with faith
- Finding your purpose
- Why being in the “NOW” is so important
- Where traditional thought patterns lead us astray
He teaches each person how to step into their God given purpose and how to run their race to the fullest. You will witness a true believer whom God has gifted with an amazing intellect that has been combined with power from none other than the Holy Spirit, present a message that will continue to inspire you and challenge you in the days and weeks to come. Don’t miss this amazing guest!
Yesterday on the long drive back from Atlanta I spoke with a gentleman who volunteered to help me with placing my books in all of the prisons in the remaining states, (he took Arizona). As we talked he explained that he was highly successful in his profession, had the beautiful wife, great kids, and comfortable home in the nice neighborhood, but he knew that something was missing. Although he goes to church every Sunday, that one meager hour or so was about the extent of the amount of time spent with the Lord. He is praying that God will reveal some purpose for his life aside from pursuing a life of materialism and self-gratification.
He read a Words for the Day the other day that spoke to all of us being called to perform good works and how God expects us to perform them according to the gifts that have been afforded to us. He knows he has a god given purpose, but just hasn’t spent much time trying to find it until now.
I told him I don’t know of many more convincing witnesses for the Lord than someone (like him) who has excelled in practically everything they have undertaken, that is willing to tell anyone who will listen that they owe all of it to blessings from God.
Our speaker is a prime example of that to me. He has combined a fulfilling secular career with serving His Lord. I admire those among us who love the Lord enough and are courageous enough to make that decision, especially in these last days.
I realize that most of you have your own church home, but I urge you to play hooky tomorrow and come listen to Nick Castellano. Even if it is a long drive for you; it will be worth the drive. Have a great weekend. Church services begin at 11:00 and will be followed by the buffet lunch across the street . . .
BTW: Honey Lake Church will continue after Honey Lake Plantation Resort & Spa closes and/or is sold. The church has been deeded five acres of land and the beautiful chapel. Don’t listen to rumors . . .
1 Peter 4:10
Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms.
