Yesterday I received a text from a buddy who just attended a dinner with Ravi Zacharias and members of his team from The Oxford Center for Christian Apologetics. He told me that his message was sobering indicating troubling times ahead.
I wrote him back and told him to take heart because we are right where the Lord wants us to be.
I’ve received quite a few letters while out with my major neck surgery expressing concern that more is not being done on the Jesus Alliance. I have generally told most of them the identical thing. The ministry is right where God wants it to be. I don’t know why I was struck down and flat on my back for 8 weeks and I certainly have no idea why my wife is undergoing breast cancer surgery tomorrow. I do know that it is not a surprise to God.
Perhaps He wanted to refine us with fire before the mother of all wars; or maybe He wanted us to take time to reflect and pray before we engage, or maybe both. He has not chosen to enlighten me so all I can do is surmise about the “why’s”. I suppose if it was that important He would reveal His purpose to me, but one thing sure, I trust that He is in full control.
He’s not worried about the Iran talks being mishandled, or the attacks on Christianity, or the entire Mideast breaking out with war, or North Korea, or China, or the economy, or Ferguson, or Hillary, or anything. He already knows exactly what will happen and He knows who will follow Him and who won’t. The End will play out and when the Great Commission has been fulfilled, He will return for those of us who have remained true believers and followed Him.
As for my readiness to do battle, I’m at 80% and growing stronger daily. My schedule is shaping up for April and May and I intend to hit the ground running. I look forward to being able to work fulltime for the Jesus Alliance ministry free from all other distractions. I want to finish strong!
It is estimated that there are 1.2 billion people that have never heard the name of Jesus Christ. If Christians will unite as Jesus prayed during this holy week in John 17:21 and work towards teaching the Gospel it will be accomplished almost overnight.
The Bible tells us that the fields are ripe for harvest, but the workers are few. In the next several weeks we will ask you to begin to participate in the harvest as never before. We will essentially ask you to go ALL IN and stand up for Jesus Christ. The networks will be airing several depictions of the crucifixion of Christ this Easter week. Watch them and see what Jesus did for you. Will you be moved to join the workers in the field? Or will you continue with business as usual right up until the rapture? Will Christ look at you and say, “Well done my good and faithful servant come in and dine with me, or will He say depart from me I never knew you . . . Selah!
Matt. 24:38
“For the coming of the Son of Man will be just like the days of Noah. “For as in those days before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, and they did not understand until the flood came and took them all away; so will the coming of the Son of Man be . . .
