Yesterday I got quite a few responses commending the tremendous effort of one of my readers, Frank Morroco in spending two years translating my book Miracle on Luckie Street into Spanish. After seeing it another reader Ana Maria Lowry and her husband Tony who own a translation service in Orlando offered a discount of donating their entire profit from the job of typesetting and final preparation of the book for publication. She also told me she would try to assist with getting Hispanic distributors to distribute the book in South and Central America.
In her e-mail she mentioned that she heard me offer my testimony at Orlando First Baptist Church where her husband serves as lay pastor. Then she shared the following: “Thank you for sharing the story of the book version in Spanish. That is wonderful. I share the same passion that Frank has and his conviction in knowing how many Hispanic souls will be touched by reading your book. Thank you for having the desire to publish it and allowing Frank and me to see our dream come true . . .
My husband and I pray every day for the Lord to use our family to bring more people to a personal relationship with Him. Sixteen years ago we lost our twins, but through the faith and strength the Lord gave us at that time nine people were moved to have a personal relationship with the Lord.
For several years since, our family has gone on mission trips to Latin America and Europe to share the gospel and serve His children. In our regular daily life we serve as marriage mentors bringing couples in distress to get to know the Lord as the third element of bringing love and commitment to their marriages . . . We are blessed to be used by Him and want to serve Him on a daily basis.”
As I contemplated Ana Maria’s letter I pondered the personal devastation that she and her husband endured when she lost her twins. Don’t you just know that satan hates it when someone rises above the devastation of this fallen world and turns tragedy into triumph in order to glorify the name of Christ.

To those of you who criticize me for “always” trying to put you on a guilt trip for not doing enough for the Lord, I simply say that you put yourselves on the guilt trip. I have no idea what you do or don’t do. The Holy Spirit is the One convicting you of those feelings.
I will say that if anyone thinks that the Lord is impressed by your getting to church for all of one hour per week in order to grace Him with your presence, then perhaps they should think again. I’ll continue to say it until the cows come in and then go back out again. God created us for His purpose and we are to use all of our resources to accomplish it.
We are commanded by God in Luke 10:27 “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind’; and, ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.'”
If you love God you will obey His commands; if you love your neighbor you will do everything within your power to share the good news of Jesus Christ with them whereby they can spend eternity in heaven instead of hell.
People write to me all of the time and ask what they can do. If you can’t write or translate a book, but you want to help your Hispanic “neighbors” come to know the Lord and be a part of keeping this miracle going, then please help with financing the publication and distribution of it. (Yes it takes money to publish a book and contrary to what many believe I don’t have a money tree in my yard that I can go pluck money like collecting apples. I wish I did.)
