I suppose by now you’ve heard that the city of Houston has issued subpoenas demanding that a group of pastors turn over any sermons dealing with homosexuality, gender identity or Annise Parker, the city’s first openly lesbian mayor. And those ministers who fail to comply could be held in contempt of court.

As this storm picked up steam yesterday I was at the offices of the Alliance Defending Freedom, the law firm that is defending the pastors pro bono. They have filed an injunction against this insane attempt to thwart freedom of speech and further decimate religious liberty in this country. In fact when I was meeting with ADF’s CEO Allen Sears yesterday he showed me a copy of their filing and he remarked that this was just the tip of the iceberg. Their entire office was buzzing with activity over this latest assault on our freedom.

There is an intense effort going on to control what is being said from our pulpits. Perhaps in part this is why so many pastors water down their messages and only voice what is politically correct. The left uses taxpayer dollars to go after anyone who disagrees with their perversion and it sends a chilling message to other pastors that they either get in line or else they will be next.

Praise God for courageous pastors that preach the Gospel unafraid and thank God for organizations like The Alliance Defending Freedom, and praise God for those who support ADF financially.

These attacks are coming fast and furious from all over the country. The left beginning with the Obama administration all of the way down to the local level is waging war against those who seek to preserve life, marriage, religious liberty, and freedom of speech.

Maybe you’re wondering why the mayor is subpoenaing these sermons. Here is the headline concerning her new ordinance for Houston Texas: Houston’s bathrooms, showers, and dressing facilities will now be open to all, regardless of gender, gender identity, gender expression, or other predilection of gender behavior. By an 11-6 vote of the Houston City Council, Mayor Annise Parker achieved this as the crowning jewel of her tenure as mayor.

Mayor Parker, Houston’s first openly gay mayor, said passing this ordinance was not the most important thing she has done in office, according to an article in the Fairfield Citizen, but it is the “most personally meaningful thing I will ever do as mayor.”

So pastors are told to shut-up and keep quiet about this insanity of men using ladies restrooms, showers, or dressing rooms, or vice versa, or face being hauled into court and expensive law proceedings.

So do you want to vote for liberal thugs who want to force their sickness and immorality on you, or sit out the election? Or will you vote for those who support decency and morality?

Now THAT my friends is the question! We have the numbers to be the moral majority, but we vote like a small minority. This needs to change. Vote!

Due.1:13

Choose some well-respected men from each tribe who are known for their wisdom and understanding.
