So according to CNN this morning 67% of those watching the debate last night say Romney handily won. So what about the other 33%?
Diehards all?
Interesting word diehard, according to the dictionary it means, “One who stubbornly and tenaciously adheres to a seemingly hopeless cause”. I hope and pray their cause is hopeless, but it will be a “dog fight” to the end and the outcome is tenuous.
This debate was primarily about the economy and domestic issues like health care and it seems to me that one would think that someone would have to be brain dead not to understand that Obama’s policies are killing our economy.
Hmmm…So, are diehards brain dead?
Well I suppose that’s a little harsh. Maybe it’s something else? To be honest I cannot understand it. Look at any indicator, unemployment, gas prices, food prices, poverty levels, food stamp and welfare recipients, national debt, housing starts, housing values, taxes, new business start-ups, trade deficit, and ask yourself is it any better?
It might be a better question to ask, could it possibly get any worse? I shudder to think of that, because I worry that after four more years of Obama we might not even have a country anymore. I don’t know about you, but I have a bunker.
Is this guy who has never even held a job in his entire life qualified to lead the largest economy in the world?
Of course not! Our economy suffered under George Bush and a democratically controlled congress, but it has been devastated over the last four years. For crying out loud he doesn’t even have a budget. When he submitted his so-called budget to congress for approval, it was so far out in LEFT field that it didn’t receive even one vote, Democrat or Republican. That is pathetic and should tell us all something! Even tiny companies work off a budget, and your telling me that the largest economy in the world during his leadership is shooting from the hip with no budget and making it up as we go along? No wonder we’re $16 trillion in debt. Even I could manage a heck of a lot better than that and so could most of you. He is trapped in his warped ideology.
So why do so many people cling to him?
Like I said, I cannot for the life of me understand it.
His vision for America has already left many in this country without hope of ever retiring, or earning a decent wage, or having any hint of self-respect. We are becoming a nation of beggars living off government handouts. Our great country is demoralized by someone who thinks a government controlled by him and his Chicago mob buddies is the path to the pools of Nirvana. In essence he thinks we are too stupid to make decisions for ourselves and we need him and his government to make all of our decisions including caring for our health, eating habits, how much we should earn, what kind of energy we need, and blah blah blah.
The Bible talks of someone named antichrist who will beguile the world in much the same manner. As his reign increases, diehard followers will actually worship him and eventually he will sit on the throne in the temple in Jerusalem and rule the world from there. The fanatical diehard followers that Obama has garnered for himself are reminiscent to me of that scenario and of what is to come.
Even people who call themselves Christians adore this dude. Geez Louise they should talk to Melissa Ohden. Her commercial ran during the Democratic National Convention and she pointed out that President Obama voted 4 times while in the Illinois Senate to not help babies who were born alive after abortions. So these so called “Christian” Obama supporters blindly pledge their vote for someone who would have preferred to kill Ms. Ohden on the table when she was born four months premature? What form of Christianity advocates infanticide – (killing innocent children)?
Go figure…
Time is running out and soon the election will transpire. Consider the following leadership principles as you place your vote for those candidates whom you think are the best of the “litter” to be our leaders:
- Leaders must have a moral conscience that is not subject to political winds. In essence they need to be like Jesus and stand for what is right in the world and not necessarily what people want to hear
- True leadership requires humility. According to the Bible there is virtually no limit to the good a man can do, if he doesn’t care who gets the credit
- Leaders must realize that they are totally inadequate in themselves and need God
- Leaders need experience and knowledge and not fluff and oratorical gibberish
- One can only lead to the degree they are willing to serve. Matthew 23:11-Greatest in the kingdom is servant of all – A nation’s president becomes a great leader by serving the citizen’s needs, not telling the citizens what they need.
Don’t be a diehard – Use logic when you vote…
