Silliness rather than logic

Recently I talked with someone who told me that she voted for Obama because he was an African American and she wanted to be a part of electing the first ever black president. To me that’s about as dumb as voting for Jimmy Carter because he would be the very first peanut farmer from Georgia ever elected. They will both be remembered for their uber far left destructive policies and incompetence more than anything else. Carter is an embarrassment to Georgia peanut farmers and Obama is an embarrassment to African Americans.

The right to vote in this country has been protected by the blood of Americans since its founding. We shouldn’t vote for someone without taking it very seriously and using our intellect to carefully choose the best candidate. In the cold hard spotlight, before being elected President of the United States, the most powerful job in the world, Obama had never had a job, aside from organizing disgruntled people to march; he had mediocre grades in school, and an undistinguished educational career having never been published. He was only an elected representative for a short period of time and rarely showed up for votes.

I’m telling you candidly that no board of directors in their right minds would have hired him even as a CEO of a small company with qualifications like that. And yet he got elected to the most powerful job in the world, because he is “likable”, “good looking”, a good speaker, an African American, and he loves his daughters?

Go figure…He’s in way over his head and it’s obvious to all but the fanatical who are hell bent on instilling socialism if not communism in this once great country.

I don’t like much of what I see and hear in the media, but our constitution guarantees free speech. Many of you don’t like to hear what I have to say, especially when it comes to politics, but by the same token I don’t like to hear some of your views either. We both are, however, free to express our opinions, but that could change if people keep voting based upon silliness rather than logic.

I’m concerned about freedom in this country and I think Obama is doing more to curtail it than anyone in our country’s history. I don’t care what race he is or what color, if he is bad for the country than we should vote him out. He was the only senator, Democrat, Republican, Green Party, Communist Party, or Independent that voted for a bill that allows doctors to kill a baby that survives a trimester abortion outside the womb, (infanticide) to escape the consequences. This was not just a case of his voting for a bill that he hadn’t read or did not understand; he voted for it three times. He is forcing ALL business owners, (not just the Catholic Church) to provide abortion inducing drugs and contraception regardless of their religious convictions against it.

A lady who survived an abortion tried to come to the Democratic convention but was not allowed to express her views by the Obama leaning media. Grrrrr….

That is not freedom.

Obama is a politician and little more. He said he was against gay marriage, but then endorsed it when the Hollywood crowd promised big donations. He said we aren’t a Christian nation, and on and on. Okay you’ve heard it all before and you’re tired of it. I’m tired too, but now is not the time to quit.  Yesterday I wrote that I’m discouraged because the polls show Obama leading and I suggested resting if we must, but we should not quit. Today I say don’t even rest, just keep working for the next month and a half and rest after the election is over. It’s too important.

I am reminded how powerful prayer is and I think a large part of our nation’s effort should be focused on prayer. Come to our prayer rally at Honey Lake Plantation church and pray for our nation and that God fearing leaders will be elected. It will be held  October 7th at 4:30. If you can’t make it, pray for our nation at that time. We can make a difference and if ever our nation needs prayer, it is now.

Have a great weekend and go to church this Sunday!

James 5:16

Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective.
