Judging from the mail load I created quite a stir with my mea culpa attempt at contrition on Friday. Some of you however missed the point of what I was contrite about. It was not that I feel bad for pointing out that president Obama acts like anything but a Christian, or that I don’t see how any Christian could vote for him considering his un-Christian anti-Christ acts as president.

I do not regret one word of that and stand by all that I said in that regard 1000 per cent and even gave the Scripture to back my point of view up.

No, what I was saying was that I could have been a little nicer in addressing those poor liberal souls who are so misinformed about Obama and the Bible. My graphic metaphor was perhaps a little over the top, and I suppose I should hate the sin, but love the sinner; however when one considers the plight of the church in these perilous times under Obama and company’s rule, that is one tall order my friends…

It was no different in the days of Noah, or Sodom, or Moses when  his congregation was dancing around a gold calf idol and having an orgy while he was up on the Mount receiving the Ten Commandments.

These societies knew what God’s law said, but they ignored them and I might add at their own peril. God’s laws have remained the same and will continue to do so regardless of what society thinks of them. And God intends for them to be followed as closely as we can muster.

God repeatedly warned the people of his day through Noah who preached 120 years without a convert and then they were all whisked away by a flood that destroyed all of them. Sodom was utterly destroyed for their lack of righteousness, and those Jews who were disobedient to Moses and replaced God’s laws with their own were denied entry into the Holy Land even after walking the desert for forty years.

One e-mailer to WFTD wrote that Jesus did not speak out against abortion or homosexuality and was all about peace and good will to man; oh contrar my dear confused liberal love a dub dub friend, Jesus was crystal clear that the laws of God would stand and that He came not to do away with them, but to establish and fulfill them.

Society will meander all over the place, but God remains solid and the same. We might not like what God says about various subjects, and/or might think we have a better idea, but God is God. He created us for His good pleasure, for His purpose, and established His laws in order that they would be obeyed and that is how we are supposed to serve. Remember Romans 3:31? Do we, then, nullify the law by this faith? Not at all! Rather, we uphold the law.

Don’t get too far out of line or there likely will be hell to pay.

Matt. 5:17

“Don’t misunderstand why I have come. I did not come to abolish the law of Moses or the writings of the prophets. No, I came to accomplish their purpose.”
