So, this week has not been a good e-mail week. I got numerous e-mails telling me how ungrateful I am for everything God has blessed me with because I dared to mention that I had a bad day.
Hmmm… Do you suppose that those that God has blessed in this life should never have a bad day? I’m extremely grateful for what God has done in my life and I say as much in WFTD on an almost daily basis and in speaking all over the country. In fact I will be giving my testimony at several events in the next few days, but that doesn’t mean that I walk around smiling at the birds and bees at every juncture, especially if a darned bee stings me.
When you hit your thumb with a hammer, it hurts. I don’t care if it’s solid gold or lead.
Others indicated that the docs should have just let my “old” worn out father just die and save the “taxpayer’s hard earned” money for his Medicare.
I say to you to quit being a silly sap and so cold. My father spent nearly two lifetimes paying into Social Security and Medicare and also served his country well. In fact he did so much on the atomic bomb project in World War Two that he was awarded a direct commission as an officer. He later went on to serve in the Korean War and now that he is at the end of his life perhaps it’s not a stretch for the taxpayers to spend some of the money that he paid into the system and in serving his country in an attempt to to keep it free, (so Wall Street scums and liberals can destroy it), to treat him for a life threatening infection instead of pulling the plug.
And finally I got several letters about how I have mistreated my darling employees. I respect and love those employees who follow the rules and do their jobs in a professional manner. I’ve had thousands of employees that have done so and many currently do so and I love ’em to death. As for those who steal from me, are lazy, take drugs, act like racists, commit sexual harassment, fight, don’t follow the rules and remain unproductive, I fire their butts!
Personally I believe there is almost a complete lack of accountability in this country and I wish you bleeding hearts would leave me alone and go get on the next O J Simpson Dream team defense squad and defend the indefensible. Or, better get a job at Fannie Mae or Freddie Mac and give someone a loan who shouldn’t be able to get one unless helped by you.
Just leave me the heck alone, unsubscribe, whatever….
And with that I wish you adieu. No, I’m not in a bad mood. I just believe that sometimes we should just tell it like it is and let the chips, (buffalo, cow, horse, or otherwise) fall where they may.
Have a great weekend and go to church this Sunday.
Psalm 5:5
Therefore, the proud may not stand in your presence, for you hate all who do evil.
