Hardly a day goes by anymore that I don’t get a letter from someone who has just finished reading my book. I am delighted to report that the comments are still positive, but that is not to say that to a person very powerful emotions, both good and bad, were experienced while reading it. One man wrote that he was supposed to be a tough a#* old 75 year old Marine, but he cried when he read that I finally accepted Christ in that hospital room in Grady. To be totally candid I cried when I wrote that part and several others.

They were tears of happiness though. The Bible describes the scene when the prodigal son returned to his home and his dad prepared a feast and celebration for him. His older brother was resentful and his father told him that there was reason to celebrate; his brother had been dead but was now alive. Jesus had a similar parable when He talked of the lost coin. His message: Even though we might have several other coins, when one is lost we search for it and search for it and when we find it we celebrate because what once was lost has now been found. We are the coins.

One man wrote me last night and said he got so mad at me while reading my book that at one point he threw it across the room. He finally retrieved it and kept reading and stated that he is glad that he did. One lady told me that she laughed, she cried, she was happy, and she was sad. On the inside flap I wrote that people would laugh with me, cry with me, be afraid with me, be sad with me, but most of all at the end of the day would stand amazed at the awesome power of God to transform a life. She said the same thing.

Several people have told me that as a result of reading my book they have begun their own Bible study in earnest and more than one has said they no longer want to be “fair weather” Christians and they want to make God number one in their lives. My life was like a ping pong ball soaring to great heights when I made God number one in my life and sinking like the Titanic when I made myself number one. It is a true story and I imagine we all could relate if you put two and two together in your own lives. We have to do as this lady has vowed to do and make God number one in order to really succeed in life. Don’t put your career ahead of God Mr. businessman. Money, power, fame are all fleeting…

If you have already read the book I encourage you to give it to others to read. If you haven’t read it, I encourage you to do so. Obviously it is having a positive impact on lives. Currently it is available as a hard bound on my website, WWW.Miracleonluckiestreet.com and as an e-book on Amazon, ITunes, and Google. The paperback version is at the printers now and will soon be available too and I’m even working on an audio version. I’m still working on a marketing program including trying to get it into the bookstores and chains, but I’m finding that it is a slow difficult process and I’m sure satan does not want that to happen and is the main reason for many of the obstacles including so many that promised to help with various aspects of its promotion, to remain disengaged.

That’s okay, because I have learned that I don’t ever have to shoulder the burden of something this big and difficult alone. God will see to it that doors are opened and it will be spread to those in need of hearing its message in due time. I have learned to be patient and to do what I can and then pray for some help and wait for God to deliver. He never lets me down and I have no reason to believe that He might start now. I have learned that it will only happen at a time of His choosing. He is in charge and not me. Well that is enough rambling for a Friday.

I hope you have a great weekend. I also hope that you do like some of those who have written me. Get that Bible down off its shelf. Dust if off and start reading it daily. Go to church this weekend and attend or start a small group. Put on the full armor of God and start really living your life today beginning with a glorious prayer right now wherever you are sitting. No hidden motives and no hypocrisy allowed in our lives, just pure love for Jesus Christ and what He did on the cross for us.

Zechariah 4:6
“…Not by might nor by power, but by my Spirit,’ says the LORD Almighty”
