Gimme Gimme Gimme

Help me Help me Help me

Sound familiar?

Those are the words that are most often used in our prayers.

Not long after daylight I was riding my horse and the misty fog was hanging low as the sun broke through with its brilliance. Not a cloud was visible in a deep blue sky and the morning dew glistened and sparkled. On this one ride I saw whitetail deer, wood ducks, quail, and wild turkeys. I marveled at the beauty of the morning. I was smiling and darned if my horse Dusty didn’t look like he was smiling too.

I sounded like Gomer Pyle as I said: Thank you Thank you Thank you! (If you are too young to know who Gomer Pyle was revel in your youth and say Thank you Thank you Thank you).

I would like to ask you to stop what you are doing for five minutes and just think about all that God has given you and take the time to thank Him.

I started by thanking Jesus Christ for His sacrifice for my sins and my salvation and then for my family and friends, my health, living in the USA, my dog Cooper, my horse Dusty, hamburgers and chili, 86,400 seconds yesterday, smiling kids, sour pickles, Dallas Cowboy cheerleaders, the election on November 2nd, and on and on and on

Psalm 100:4-5
“Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name. For the Lord is good and his love endures for ever; his faithfulness continues through all generations.”
