The fall of Rome (USA)?

Parts of the Bible are very difficult to understand, but perhaps none more difficult than the prophecy and discourse on the Last Days. Some scholars have spent an entire lifetime studying prophecies concerning the end of times and the return of Christ. I’m not one of them, but it is interesting.

One thing I have found fascinating is that there is no mention of the United States. On the other hand Russia, China, Europe, the Middle East, and of course Israel are all prominently featured and will play a big role.

Why is the west and in particular the United States omitted?

Hmmm. It seems to me that the reason we are not mentioned might well be that we will not be a factor, or perhaps even around by then. I espoused this theory some time back and was openly ridiculed by some, but today it seems to be all the more plausible. Like the Romans the once powerful USA may already be experiencing a similar fate and decline.

Moral decay and movement away from productivity marked the fall of Rome. Romans would spend months at a time, (at government expense) feasting, having orgies and partying down watching the “games”, and lusting for the blood of gladiators as they fought to their deaths. The party was soon over and their once great country declined to irrelevance, to nothing. Who would have predicted the fall of Rome? Certainly not Caesar

Obama, Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid and company and to a lesser extent their predecessors before them have just about spent us into oblivion. Business success is now labeled as “greed” by Obama and his band of merry men and women and class warfare between the “haves” and “have-nots” is in full swing. The congress, ACLU and San Francisco’s Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals have fought hard to give us the “right” to kill babies, take drugs, allow children to view porn and curse their parents, and the like.

The USA was founded as one nation under God by its founders, but now God is considered a dirty word in many circles. If you protest you are labeled by the elite media as a right wing fanatic, followed by bigot, zealot nut, racist, or worse.

Our country has turned its back on God and I believe that God is reluctantly in the process of turning His back on us and yielding to our free will, and if we do not return to Him, He will allow our once great nation to destroy itself from within.

Recently Glenn Beck espoused these same views to hundreds of thousands of people in Washington DC. I’m no Glenn Beck fan, (he’s just too silly at times for my liking), but he is dead on the money on this. I hope his following grows and Christians all over get out and vote this November for those who do not espouse the views of the progressives and liberals who are destroying our society.

All powerful God stands at the door and awaits us to allow Him into our lives. If we invite Him in, He will do so and with Him come the blessings that we have enjoyed in this country since the 1700’s. If we reject Him, we will become as Rome as we succumb to our evil desires and ultimate degradation. We already know the outcome as related in the Bible and it’s not good for the USA. The question remains will our country decline within our lifetime, or our children and grandchildren’s lifetimes, or will God delay it due to a great revival all over this great country?

Pray for revival and the revitalization of this great country, will you?

Revelation 1:3
Blessed is the one who reads the words of this prophecy, and blessed are those who hear it and take to heart what is written in it, because the time is near.
