Yesterday of tomorrow?

I believe that instead of worrying about the past, Jesus wants us to
focus on not making the same mistakes in the future. We cannot change
the past. We can however, have an impact on the future. Most
everything of any consequence in life stems from attitude. We can look
to the future optimistically with great anticipation, or we can face it
with gloom and pessimism. When one dwells in the past, the latter is
usually the outcome. The choice is ours and we do have a choice.

We have a choice concerning how we live our lives. We can focus on
yesterday, or tomorrow. I believe that we need to learn from our
mistakes and events that have occurred in the past; however that is it.
Many people, me included, tend to dwell too much in the past. Some of us
have a hard time forgiving ourselves for past mistakes. I believe that
God has forgiven me of my past mistakes as He has done for all who have
accepted Him as their personal Savior. If what Jesus did on the cross
is good enough for Him, it should most definitely be good enough for us.
To spend time worrying about it is to lessen what Jesus did for us on
the cross. Our sins have been forgiven, our debts repaid; all of them.
His grace is sufficient. Now that is something for which to be
thankful!

2Corinthians 12:9
…”My grace is
sufficient for you, for My strength is
made perfect in weakness.”
