Overcome and receive

Today was a very difficult day for me in working on the final edit of my book with challenge after challenge after challenge. On several occasions I got so frustrated that it was all I could do to remain calm and I very nearly exploded. I stopped working around 7 P.M. after having started my day at 4 A.M. It’s 8 PM now and I’m just now writing WFTD. I’m very tired and a little discouraged.

It’s times like these that we are the most vulnerable to the wiles of satan. I believe he likes nothing better than for us to be tired and
discouraged. Imagine how tired and discouraged Jesus must have been as He saw the deprivation of mankind up close and personal. Plus always on His mind was the knowledge that He would soon have to take the punishment for all of the sins of mankind and we cannot even imagine the horror of the agony that He foresaw that He would endure. Nonetheless, He willingly stayed the course with perfect “class”.

In the end Jesus overcame all obstacles and won the victory. He weathered every storm, and He now sits upon His throne with His Father awaiting those who would join Him. I praise Him and thank Him for that from the bottom of my heart.

As always we should look to Jesus’ example when we need encouragement.
The lesson here: Stay the course and if you get tired and discouraged, simply rest up, and ask for God’s help, and with His help you can overcome every obstacle and then of course reap the reward.
