Do you have any enemies? Probably. How do you feel about having enemies? I don’t want enemies. I do have some folks out there who probably consider themselves to be enemies of mine, but I don’t consider them to be enemies and in fact don’t even waste a minute’s time thinking about them which probably grates on them tremendously.

It is difficult to be friends with some folks, but one thing about it, becoming a friend is a sure way to get rid of an enemy. Abraham Lincoln said, “Am I not destroying my enemies when I make friends of them?”

The Bible teaches that as much as it depends upon us we should try to be get along with everyone.

If there is no cooperation from the other side, don’t let them drag you into their “pit”. “Shake the dust from your feet” (don’t kick sand in their faces), and rise up above it.

Life is far too short to waste a single moment worrying about having an enemy. If you treat everyone the way that you want to be treated, it pleases the Lord and your problems should diminish.

Proverbs 16:7
When a man’s ways please the
Lord,
He makes even his enemies to
be at peace with him.
