A friend of mine has confided to me on several occasions that he has a problem with lust, especially for those women with large breasts. He says there is one working in his office that is particularly problematic for him. I have not solicited this information from him, (it seems to be a little too much information for me), but he has volunteered it on more than one occasion and I patiently listen.

The other day I wrote a WFTD about lust and the publishing mechanism for my website went crazy and accidentally sent the same message out four times. A few minutes later my friend e-mailed me and asked me to quit sending them already, and that he realized that he has a problem with lust without my reminding him four times.

Actually you would be surprised how many times I write a WFTD and someone thinks it is written about them. In fact I rarely write a WFTD about anyone whom I know subscribes. Although I am not privy to the subscription list and don’t really know for sure who subscribes and who does not, most WFTD are written about those folks who I am fairly certain do not subscribe, family members, (especially my wife), notwithstanding.

Personally I think it is more a case of conscience and that is a good thing. Having a conscience indicates to me that someone is being pursued by God via the Holy Spirit. When the scribes and the Pharisees brought the woman caught in the act of adultery and wanted to stone her, Jesus said let he who is among you that is without sin cast the first stone and then He stooped down and wrote something in the dirt. I always guessed that maybe He started writing the Ten Commandments, but whatever it was, they all dropped their stones and left, beginning with the oldest.

If you hear your conscience start hounding you, then listen up and heed it. Just maybe God’s urgent reminder to you will prevent you from making some BIG mistakes.

(I am not referring to my friend’s problem; come on now get your minds out of the gutter, or is that where mine is????)
John 8:9
Then those who heard it, being
convicted by their conscience, went
out one by one, beginning with the
oldest even to the last. And Jesus
was left alone standing
in the midst.
