Yesterday, the one year anniversary of the September 11th attack, was a somber day. Memorials were held all day long for those who lost their lives; ceremonies and parades were held to honor those who risked their lives to save others. Networks covered every angle. We all were vividly reminded once again of the tragic day that murderous terrorists struck our nation. Virtually every person in the United States was affected by 9/11. Aside from loss of life, billions of dollars were lost and the jobs that go with them. It all was recapped for us in minute detail on the tube.
It is my opinion that it is time to move forward. Every generation has had its Osama Bin Laden. Hitler and Stalin were slightly before my time, and others preceded them. Throughout history there were plenty of evil men that gained access to power. Some of the kings we are told about in the Bible were as wicked as they come. Evil and murderous people have been present in this world beginning with the times of Adam and Eve and will continue to be present until Jesus returns to claim
His children. If you think about it, there is really no way to escape
being exposed to evil while living on this earth, so why dwell on it.
Jesus tells us not to worry about tomorrow. He realized that evil will continue to be present in the world, (until He returns), when He made that statement, yet He instructed us not to worry about anything, including evil. Why? Because His love for us is sufficient for our needs and if we will simply put our trust in Him there is no need for worry.
He will take care of His children. If you are one of those people who just cannot find peace or feel safe until Osama Bin Laden is in prison or confirmed dead, or Saddam Hussein meets the same fate, just remember when Osama Bin Laden/Saddam Hussein are removed, there will be other evil rulers that will take their place before they get good and cold in their caskets. Don’t get me wrong, I think we should go after them with a vengeance and send them back to Hell from which they emerged; however there will be others to quickly fill their void. Satan is powerful but for a little while, and the Bible guarantees that God will totally remove him from our lives.
My feeling is that it is time to look forward. After all, we have a future home with our loving Father, Jesus Christ, personally ruling over and leading us. He will allow no evil in heaven, no sorrow, no tears, no sadness, no sickness; only safety, peace and comfort. We should all cheer up as a nation. Don’t allow the terrorists to accomplish their goals of terrorizing you and your children and making you live in fear.
Evil cannot defeat good. Sure a battle might be lost, but the war will be won. Satan is the ultimate loser and God is the ultimate Winner.
Jesus once told His disciples to “Be of good cheer, for I have overcome the world”. When He died on the cross, and He was resurrected three days later, death and evil were defeated , Satan and all of his minions were resoundly defeated and their time is quickly running out. Remember always that when God is for you, no one can be against you, (and win).
Be patient for His return and keep the faith, and by all means look forward not backwards! After all we have some good things on the Horizon in which to look forward!

Matt.6:34
Therefore do not worry about
tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry
about its own things. Sufficient for
the day is its own trouble.
