The Bible repeatedly tells us not to worry, yet most of us do. It accomplishes absolutely nothing beneficial, and one has to wonder why we do it. Jesus Himself warned us not to worry, stating that instead we should have faith in the Lord. I suggest that the next time satan encourages you to worry, that instead you pray. In contrast to worry, the Bible unequivocally states that prayer is effective. It is no guarantee that what you think is best for you will happen, but God can be petitioned to help us through anything. He is always listening and God does answer prayer.

It has been said that worry pulls tomorrow’s cloud over today’s sunshine. I like that, but I question the cloud. No one knows what tomorrow will bring; there may not even be a tomorrow, much less a cloud. Whatever it is that you are worried about may not even happen and if it does it probably will not be as bad as you anticipate. The Bible states that we can do all things through Christ who strengthens us. Before we can tap into that reservoir of power however, we must first have strong faith that God will provide everything that we need.
It is my belief that often times of distress are sent our way in order to draw us nearer to God; to make us realize that our very lives are ALWAYS in His hand and that we must trust Him implicitly and not worry about things that are beyond our control. I think we should just face whatever comes our way and trust God. He Loves us and he will take care of our every need. End of story!

Phil. 4:6
Be anxious for nothing , but in
everything by prayer and supplication,
with thanksgiving, let your
requests be made known to God:
and the peace of God which surpasses
all understanding, will guard
your hearts and minds through
Christ Jesus.
