I attended a conference in New Orleans this week. Imagine this, no Gideon’s Bible in my room. I have traveled extensively and have always have been able to find a Gideon’s Bible in my room. Not this time though. The hotel is located on St. Charles which is adjacent to the French Quarter. What an evil place. Drunken people staggering around, homosexuals openly parading around, bums and winos laying in the street, nude bars on every corner, ordinary looking business people staggering down the street in a drunken stupor with a silly grin on their face.
Anything seems to go 24 hours a day with no questions asked. I intensely dislike this city. I believe that it is one of Satan’s strongholds. I imagine that it is much like Sodom and Gomorrah.

How it must grieve God to see what goes on here. It is impossible for me to comprehend God’s loving grace. He somehow loves us in spite of our weakness. He sent His Son to die for us, to provide a way to escape the full punishment of our violation of His Holy laws. He can actually forgive conduct such as goes on in New Orleans, provided we will turn from it and accept Christ. How hard it must be for the people who live in a place like this to withstand the temptations and live a Holy spirit filled life..

I want out of here as soon as possible, today is not fast enough.

____________

John 3:16
For God so loved the world
that He gave His only begotten
Son,
that whosoever believeth in Him
shall not perish, but have everlasting
life.
