Well the Miracle on Luckie Street books came in and I was up late last night signing them in order that they may be shipped out today. They should arrive at your home just in time to give you something to do (other than watch football games) during the holidays.
For those of you who have asked or wanted to ask, I’m not making any money on these books. In fact I’ve frightened myself at the similarities that I have taken on with Barrack Obama, Nancy Pelosi, and Harry Reid for this project. Currently I’m giving away somewhere between ten to twenty books for every book that I’ve sold and at the end of the day I’m spending far more than I’m taking in. Maybe I better sign up for Rosetta Stone and learn Chinese, I might need to borrow some Yuan before this over.
That’s okay because I didn’t write it in order to make money. It’s my sincere desire that it will provide hope to those who have lost it and inspiration to those who are devoid of it. Life can be great or it can be horrible. I learned that we do have a choice in determining which it will be.
As you will see from reading the book I learned many lessons about life, but none more poignant than I could not make it on my own. I don’t care how tough or hard someone might be; if we try to stand alone we don’t have a chance. More importantly the Bible makes it abundantly clear that we don’t have to stand alone. Jesus is ready, willing, and able to take our burdens away. Jesus said: “Peace I leave with you; My peace I now give you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Do not let your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid. (John 14: 27) and “Take My yoke upon you and learn of Me, for I am meek and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.” (Matthew 11: 29)
It took me years to find peace, joy, happiness, and God’s rest, not because it’s difficult to find, but because I’m a stubborn and rebellious ass. My life’s journey has been reminiscent of trying to load one of my donkeys on a trailer. I finally got in, but not without loudly braying, kicking, stomping and trying to bite, maim, and kill everyone within my reach during the process. The door was always open; I could have just walked right in.
Duhhh
Rev.3:20
Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with him, and he with me.
There is an easier way
